In just ten weeks...

We had our first official prenatal visits this week. Everything appears - yes, you guessed it - normal! It's amazing the changes that have occurred in the last 4 weeks. The first ultrasound images looked more like a diamond ring than a baby. But just a few weeks later, you can now see the fetus curled up, with faint hints of the head, body, arms and legs. The heartbeat has jumped to 168 bpm.

As for us, the news is sinking in. There's no shortage of literature to take in. And it's not always easy to discern the myth from fact-based advice. Our doctor has recommended Pregnancy for Dummies, of all books, written by doctors from Mt. Sinai. Surpisingly, he has discouraged us from using What to Expect. We'll likely continue to use a variety...

While Lyndsey's energy is picking up, the nausea still persists. But thankfully she's still able to tear it up on the dance floor at all those weddings! Now that everything seems to be progressing as expected, we've started sharing the news with friends and family. It will be exciting to share this experience with all of the other friends and family who will be welcoming their little ones in the coming months. As it turns out, there's at least one arriving every month from September to February!
